EKSPLORASI KEYAKINAN GURU TERKAIT MATEMATIKA DAN PRAKTIK MEREKA DI KELAS MATEMATIKA
Abstract
The mathematics-related beliefs has an important role to give the teacher direction to take decisions and behave in the mathematics class. Therefore, this research is purposed to know the teacher‟s belief profile related to mathematics, consistency among belief dimension, the teacher‟s practical profile in the mathematics class, and consistency between belief and teacher‟s practice in mathematics class. This research used surveys by cross-sectional design to collect data from 325 elementary school teachers in Jakarta. Belief questionnaires and teacher‟s practice in mathematics class was developed and used to collect the data. According to the data analyzing the result, this research‟s findings indicate that the teachers tend to constructivism-oriented, but aren‟t accompanied with the practice in mathematics class. More than that, the relation complexities also occur either among belief dimensions or the relation with the practice in mathematics class.References
