Abstract

One of the main problems in integrating technology in English classroom practices is the practicality and this factor is crucial in maintaining students motivation especially in learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Students creativity on the other hand should be developed and fostered since the language is rarely used in daily life. Therefore, in this study the facility used to trigger the students in applying language learning strategies are visual mind mapping, blog and self video recording . Research method applied in this study is action research and R&D. There are two English classes with a number of 35 students in each class of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology involved in. Students speaking performances uploaded in Blog were in form of video. The evaluation of their progress of competence and the topics chosen in the presentation will be reported as the results. Challenges and Strength of utilizing the applications are exposed as part of the findings in this study.
